BELGRADE, July 3 (Hina) - "Interpol's warrant for the arrest of the commander of the Serb Volunteer Guard, Zeljko Raznjatovic Arkan, exists and has been issued by the Osijek County Court through the Croatian department of Interpol,"
Croatian Consul in Belgrade, Neven Vrankovic, said, responding to a statement by the Yugoslav Police Minister, Zoran Sokolovic, that the "warrant for the arrest of Arkan is fictional". Vrankovic told Thursday's "Nasa Borba" daily that the warrant had been forwarded to all Interpol member countries, adding that they should apprehend Raznjatovic, if the opportunity rose.

"It is possible that The Hague is also looking for Arkan, but
secretly, such as in the case of Slavko Dokmanovic," Nasa Borba wrote.
The daily acquired information from the Interpol secretariat in
Paris that the organisation had in 1993 issued a so-called Red Warrant
for the arrest of Raznjatovic, because of the criminal act of genocide
against the Croat residents of Sodolovci and Koprivna (eastern
Slavonia).
The Croatian Interpol also accused Arkan of having issued orders
from 17 to 20 November 1991 to kill the non-Serb populations in Borovo
Naselje and Vukovar (eastern Slavonia).
