THREE BIGGEST COMPANIES OF VUKOVAR REINTEGRATED

VUKOVAR, July 15 (Hina) - Three biggest companies in Vukovar, "Borovo", "Vupik" and "Vuteks" were reintegrated into the Croatian economic system on Tuesday by constitution of the companies' supervisory committees and managements. The president of the footwear multi-plant "Borovo" is Croatian Economy Minister Nenad Porges, and the president of the management remains Vladimir Husar, who has been Borovo's director in exile. "A one-time giant "Borovo" will not exist any more, but the firm will remain certainly ," Husar said. Porges added currently jobless workers were likely to be employed in line with dynamics of the production revival. The president of the supervisory board of the agricultural and food processing plant "Vupik" is Agriculture Minister Zlatko Dominikovic, whereas the president of the management is Tomislav Omrcenovic. In recent year "Vupik" has been divided into 18 firms among which there has been no coordination, and many of them are facing difficulties. Therefore, it would be necessary to elaborate better organisation, Dominikovic said and added that special attention would be devoted to the autumn sowing. He briefly informed about the harvest in the Croatian Danube river region, and said that wheat was being transported into Croatian silos and not into Yugoslavia. The president of the supervisory committee of the textile multi- plant "Vuteks" is Tomislav Druzak, the president of the Croatian privatisation fund, and the president of the management is Jovica Radan. Druzak said that competition should be avoided between Vukovar's "Vuteks" and the "Vuteks Feniks" firm in Vinkovci in which the Croatian government invested 16 million German marks after the fall of Vukovar.
