According to the latest agreements with UNTAES, the whole of
Baranja should be included into the pilot-programme of return of displaced
persons, that is, Bilje, Baranjsko Petrovo Selo, Novi Bezdan, Torjanci and
Aljmas.
Houses in the villages are whole, but empty and devastated, with the
first and third category of damage.
Displaced persons should be ensured the freedom to move with
personal vehicles, the transport of goods necessary for the reconstruction
and furnishing of houses, transport via ferry to the Baranja triangle near
Belisce and documents for returnees, so that the two-way return could
speed up, Arbanas said.
