Prskalo said it was a problem to ensure accommodation for returnees
from Germany because a large number of displaced persons from other
parts of Bosnia-Herzegovina had found accommodation in the town.
There were about 20,000 Croats exiled from central Bosnia, Zenica,
Bugojno, Sarajevo and other places in Mostar at the moment, Prskalo
said.
He asked of the guests from Germany to initiate the question why
were not conditions being created for the return of displaced Croats to
the east (Moslem-held) part of Mostar.
Schwaetzer said she would advocate providing help for local
officials in Mostar to that the town could receive the refugees from
Germany as soon as possible.
Many apartments in the town had to be reconstructed and new ones
constructed, she said.
The German Parliament delegation also held talks with the Mostar
deputy mayor, Safet Orucevic.
