In a short statement given after the meeting, Seks said that he and
Haak had discussed Croatia's role in further implementing the process of
peaceful reintegration of the Danube river region as well as its role in
the implementation of the Bosnian peace agreement, especially in light
of the recently adopted Resolution 1120 of the U.N. Security Council.
'It was an expression of friendly assurances of a friendly country
as well as a warning to Croatia that it should take necessary steps in
order to change the negative impression it has left with some political
circles in the world,' Seks said.
'I told Ambassador Haak that we have already taken and are taking
all the important steps in reintegration sectors, ranging from the
school system, public sector and health system to administration and
justice and that Croatia is really fulfilling all of its obligations,'
Seks said.
