GRUDE, July 9 (Hina) - Former Bosnian Croat leader Mate Boban was buried
in the Gorica cemetery near the south-western Bosnian town of Grude on
Wednesday.
Boban, former president of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ)
party of Bosnia-Herzegovina and founder of the Croatian Community and
Republic of Herceg-Bosna, died in a Mostar hospital on Monday after
suffering a brain haemorrhage.
Croatian Defence Minister Gojko Susak delivered a funeral oration.
Earlier in the day, a memorial service was held in Mostar, where
Bosnian HDZ president Bozo Rajic spoke of Boban's life.
Attending was a delegation from Croatia, which included Keeper of
the State Seal Ivan Milas, Privatisation Minister Milan Kovac, Member of
Parliament Vice Vukojevic and retired General Janko Bobetko.
