Trnka handed to Sanader the reply of the Bosniac side to a draft
text of the Joint Declaration which is to be adopted at an upcoming
meeting between Croatian President Franjo Tudjman and Chairman of the
Bosnian Presidency, Alija Izetbegovic.
Sanader and Trnka hailed Thursday's signing of the Agreement on the
Establishment of Joint Police in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, and
stressed that the remainder of open issues in the Bosnian Federation
could be solved through agreements and good will from both the Croat and
Bosniac sides.
Reiterating the determined commitment of Croatia to the consistent
implementation of the Washington and Dayton agreements, Sanader handed
Trnka a harsh protest on behalf of the Croatian government, and
expressed dissatisfaction about the increase of anti-Croat campaign in
the Sarajevo media, which did not contribute to further development of
friendly relations between Croats and Bosniacs and to the establishment
of a constructive atmosphere needed for finding a solution for the
remainder of open issues.
