CRO PRESIDENT CASTS HIS BALLOT AT TODAY'S PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

ZAGREB, June 15 (Hina) - Franjo Tudjman, President of the Republic of Croatia, president of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union Party (HDZ) and a candidate at Croatia's Sunday presidential election, together with his wife Ankica cast his ballot at the Tuskanac polling station in Zagreb. In answer to a journalist's question, President Tudjman said the presidential election was important for Croatia. He trusted that, like the previous ones, today's election would serve to strengthen the democratic order, and that the electoral body would, like at all previous elections, show political and democratic maturity.
