ZAGREB, June 19 (Hina) - The Croatian Government, on Thursday approved
four final bills that are part of the thorough reform of the penal
legislation in the country.
They include a penal bill, a criminal proceedings bill, a juvenile
courts bill as well as a bill on protection of mentally-disturbed
persons.
Justice Minister Miroslav Separovic said that by those bills, that
also contained international legal principles, the penal legislation
would be completely brought into accord with the Croatian Constitution.
On Thursday's session, the Government also accepted several
decisions on procedures for conclusion of bilateral treaties on double
income and property tax avoidance and a report on negotiations on
reaching an agreement on cancellation of entry visas between Croatia and
Italy. After such an agreement is signed, Croatian and Italian citizens
will be able to travel from one country to the other with identity
cards.
