BOSNIAN SERBS OBSTRUCT WORK OF COUNCIL OF MINISTERS

SARAJEVO, June 10 (Hina) - The Bosnian Council of Ministers' session which should have taken place in Sarajevo on Tuesday was cancelled due to the absence of Serb ministers. This will not, however, prevent the donor's conference for help to the country from taking place. Co-chairman of the Council of Ministers, Haris Silajdzic, told reporters that the Serb side had given no explanation for their failure to arrive. He pointed out the conclusion of the session of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the peace agreement which took place in Sintra that in cases of obstruction of the peace agreement, the office of the High Representative was obliged to recommend the international community to take the necessary precautions.

Deputy High Representative Michael Steiner confirmed Tuesday that the donors' conference wuld take place on 24 and 25 June and that the side which refused to cooperate would not receive financial help. The Bosnian Federation fully respected all requests and could not be anyone's hostage, Steiner said, stressing that games such as the Serb members of the Council of Ministers played on Tuesday must be stopped.
