According to the Dayton peace agreement, the town of Mostar
should have six municipalities - three with majority Muslim
population and three with majority Croat population.
A draft statute of the town of Mostar had already been devised
and it had been sent to all parties, mayor Prskalo said. Once
proposals and suggestions were made concerning the draft statute,
municipalities would be established, Prskalo said.
The talks also tackled 1997 budget of the town administration,
Prskalo said, announcing a session of the town administration for
tomorrow.
The government of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina has
asked Mostar mayor to find offices for four Federation ministries
which, according to the Dayton agreement, will be based in Mostar.
That issue would be discussed at tomorrow's session of the
town administration, Prskalo said.
