Present at the meeting were also High Representative for the
implementation of the peace agreement in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Carl
Bildt, and Assistant to the US State Secretary John Kornblum.
Bildt's Office Economy Advisor Thomas Schiller warned that
there were six priority goals, the realization of which could not
be delayed: the establishment of the Central Bank, the adoption of
the country's and entities' draft budgets, the adoption of a law to
regulate Bosnia's foreign debt, the adoption of the law of tariffs
and linking of the system of payment in the country and
reintegration of transport, energy supply and telecommunication.
Co-president Boro Bosic expressed hope that the issues of
reconstruction of Bosnia-Herzegovina would replace political
problems, and asked for an fair approach in the reconstruction of
the country.
Bosnia-Herzegovina Foreign Minister Jadranko Prlic said that
there were about 50 days left for the establishment of the Central
Bank and for the adoption of the draft budget at all levels.
If this did not take place, there would be no donors'
conference on the help for Bosnia-Herzegovina, Prlic said,
recalling that only after these steps were taken would it be
possible to begin negotiations with the London and Paris clubs.
