municipalities, a "Slobodna Dalmacija" daily journalist Ivica
Mlivoncic said before the International Criminal Tribunal for the
Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Friday.
Mlivoncic is the last defence witness who gave his testimony in the
trial of General Tihomir Blaskic this year. The trial will continue
in January.

Of the 1,606 victims, 1,088 are adult civilians or children, while
518 are Croatian Defence Council (HVO) POWs, the witness said.
Mlivoncic said that 140,000 Croats were forced to flee 20
municipalities (mostly in central Bosnia) where Croat and Bosniak
forces were fighting. The number of Bosniak residents who fled
those municipalities was much smaller - 50,000, he added.
