ZAGREB, Dec 17 (Hina) - Croatian Assistant Foreign Minister Ivo
Sanader on Wednesday estimated that the European Union did not
appreciate enough Croatia's results and achievements.
Croatia will not be a hostage to the situation in south-east Europe
nor will it be forced into any associations which might remind of
the former state, the Foreign Ministry quoted Sanader as saying in a
speech at Berlin's Freie Universitaet.
The current policy of EU's expansion should not give rise to new
divisions in Europe, Sanader said. In creating the new political
and security structure in Europe one should try and find those
mechanisms which would prevent tragedies like those in Croatia and
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sanader said.
