annual award for the protection and promotion of human rights in +inter-religious activity and dialogue, called "Masovic-Nikolic-+Vincetic" after three eminent and respected HHO members, was given +to Sevko Omerbasic, president of the Islamic Community of Croatia.+ Franjo Jurak, a priest from the St. Mark of Krizevci Church in +Zagreb, was given a special life achievement award for promoting +human rights, dialogue, and tolerance in religious communities.+ The awards were given on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the +General Declaration on Human Rights and Human Rights Day.+ With these awards, the HHO wished to make a considerable +contribution to

Executive Board on November 30 awarded two religious officials for
their contribution to the promotion of human rights, the HHO said in
a statement on Sunday.
The annual award for the protection and promotion of human rights in
inter-religious activity and dialogue, called "Masovic-Nikolic-
Vincetic" after three eminent and respected HHO members, was given
to Sevko Omerbasic, president of the Islamic Community of Croatia.
Franjo Jurak, a priest from the St. Mark of Krizevci Church in
Zagreb, was given a special life achievement award for promoting
human rights, dialogue, and tolerance in religious communities.
The awards were given on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the
General Declaration on Human Rights and Human Rights Day.
With these awards, the HHO wished to make a considerable
contribution to the advocating of human rights in the rights and
freedoms of religions and the faithful, said the statement.
The awards will be presented on December 18, at a celebration
marking Human Rights Day.
