ZAGREB, Nov 25 (Hina) - Croatia and Germany on Wednesday exchanged +ratification instruments which will enable an agreement on social +insurance between the two countries to take effect on December 1.+ The ratification instruments were exchanged by Croatian Labour and +Social Welfare Minister Joso Skara and German Ambassador to Croatia +Volker Haak.+ The two countries signed an agreement on social insurance in Bonn on +November 24, 1997. The agreement has been ratified by the parliaments of both countries and today's exchange of ratification instruments will enable it to go into force on December 1. Up to now, more than 400,000 Croatian citizens who live or are temporarily residing in Germany have exercised their social and property rights using forms of the former Yugoslav federation, in line with an agreement on succession signed by Croatia and Germany in 1992.
