ZAGREB, Nov 5 (Hina)- Members of Parliament of a block comprising six Opposition parties walked out on Thursday from a session of the House of Representatives in protest over the Government's refusal to meet their demand for live broadcasting of a debate on their initiative for the establishment of a commission for investigation of the Security and Intelligence Service (SIS) affair. The HDZ and representatives of other opposition parties resumed a debate of the initiative. "Until further notice we will not participate in this session", Antun Vujic of the SDP said while leaving the Main Parliament Hall with his colleagues. In mid October the 31 MPs of the SDP, the HSLS, the HSS, the IDS, the LS and the HNS in the House of Representatives filed their motion for the establishment of a commission for investigation of possible abuse of authority, anti-constitutional and illegal activities of security services. President of the Parliament Vlato Pavletic commented that on Wednesday the House received a revised agenda, "and there were no objections". The agenda was not broken down by the days because it was difficult to predict how much time should be allotted to individual topics, Pavletic said. After that Djurdja Adlesic (the HSLS) asked that the debate on the establishment of the investigative commission be postponed until Friday and broadcast live by Croatian Television. Upon exiting the Parliament Hall Antun Vujic stated that the proceedings "proved that there is no will to resolve a problem of momentous importance for this country". Vujic added the Opposition had learned that the initiative for the postponement of the debate until Friday did meet with some understanding but that the HDZ faction that did not desire a public debate prevailed. Vujic declined to identify the faction. (Hina)mr mm
