MOSTAR, Oct 23 (Hina) - UNESCO General Director Federico Mayor on +Friday forwarded a letter to Mostar's Mayor Safet Orucevic, +informing him that he had appointed members of an international +commission for the reconstruction of the
Old Bridge in Mostar.+ The commission comprises Cevat Erder, a Turkish architect, Milan +Gojkovic, an engineer from Yugoslavia, Croatian historian Radovan +Ivancevic, Dutch art historian Machiel Kiel, Bosnian engineer +Zlatko Langof, Bosnian architecture historian Ferhat Mulabegovic, +and US professor of art history Gulru Necipogla.+ The Old Bridge was destroyed in 1993, during conflicts between +Bosniaks (Moslems) and Croats in Mostar.+(hina) lml+
