ZAGREB, Oct 13 (Hina) - The Croatian government would probably
adopt a reconstruction plan this week so that the international
conference on reconstruction and development in Croatia could be
held in the second half of November, a spokesman at the
Reconstruction and Development Ministry said on Tuesday.
"We expect the reconstruction plan to be finished on Wednesday or
Thursday", spokesman Vladimir Loncarevic told Hina.
The plan would be submitted to international representatives, he
said adding that the exact date and place of the conference would be
determined later.
At the end of September Croatia submitted a draft reconstruction
plan to international representatives (Commission Article 11), who
had a certain number of objections to the document. The objections
were mainly of technical nature, Loncarevic said.
The main objectives of the reconstruction plan are the
reconstruction of houses, infrastructure and public services, as
well as facilitating the social and economic reintegration of
returnees and assisting government investment policy for a long-
term economic development of war-affected areas.
