VUKOVAR, Oct 14 (Hina) - The first anniversary of health
reintegration in the Croatian Danube River Region was marked on
Wednesday in Vukovar.
Croatian Health Minister Zeljko Reiner said the Croatian
Government had invested a significant amount in the health renewal
in the Danube River Region over the past year, stressing further
investing would bring health care in the east of the country closer
to Croatian health standards.
Reiner said that Croatia had successfully brought to an end the
process of peaceful reintegration in spite of the problems it was
facing.
The head of the U.N. Police Support Group (UNPSG) Souren
Seraydarian expressed his satisfaction with the achieved results
in the peaceful reintegration, commending the Croatian Government
for complying with all the regulations set by the UN.
The UNPSG will end its nine-months mandate of supervising the local
police in the Danube River Region on October 15. They will be
replaced by the Organisation for the Security and Cooperation in
Europe (OSCE).
