NEW DELHI, Oct 12 (Hina) - An event, entitled "The Croatian
Evening", was held in New Delhi on Monday evening.
The event was organised by the Croatian Embassy in New Delhi and the
Indian institute for marketing and management (IMM).
Presiding over the event was Dr Abdul W. Khan, vice president of
Indira Gandhi National Open University and president of an
organisation for communications development.
Charge d'affaires at the Croatian Embassy, ambassador
plenipotentiary Silvija Luks-Kalogjera, spoke about Croatia's
history and its political situation in the context of current
international events as well as its position in Central Europe and
the Mediterranean and its strategic importance for Europe's
political future.
Advisor Drazen Margeta spoke about the Croatian-Indian economic
relations and Croatia's economy.
A short film on Croatia was also shown during the meeting, which was
attended by some hundred representatives of the Indian economic
forum, successful business people, entrepreneurs, state officials
and reporters.
