SIBENIK, Oct 12 (Hina) - Considering and studying Pope John Paul
II's messages said during his second pastoral visit to Croatia is
the central topic of the 17th plenary session of the Croatian
Bishops' Conference which began Monday in Sibenik.
The Pope's pilgrimage, his gestures and words are the content of our
thoughts so that based on them, we can offer directives for the
Church's pastoral activities on the path to the third millennium,
said the Conference President, Zagreb Archbishop Josip Bozanic.
While in Sibenik, the bishops will discuss the signing of the fourth
agreement between the Holy See and Croatia concerning economic
issues.
Discussion will also be held concerning the activities of Caritas
Croatia and diocesan Caritas offices in the post-war period as well
as the Bishops' Synod for Europe which is to be held in September
next year.
Today's session is being attended by Apostolic Nuncio to Croatia
Msgr. Giulio Einaudi as well as Mostar-Duvno Bishop Msgr. Ratko
Peric representing the Bishops' Conference of Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
