MOSTAR, Oct 2 (Hina/Habena) - Following Thursday's incidents in
Tasovcici, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Prefect Zeljko Obradović
demanded that the planned return of Muslim refugees to the Capljina
municipality area be frozen, Herzeg-Bosnian news agency Habena
reported.
At today's meeting with the heads of regional offices of the
international community's High Representative and OSCE in Mostar,
David Foley and Martin Garrod, Prefect Obradovic made a suggestion
to jointly monitor the situation in order to prevent future
conflicts.
Asked what he would do to prevent the violence against Croat
refugees who do not have any real chance to return to their homes,
Garrod said that, according to all reports received, SFOR troops
had reacted in a professional manner.
Responding to a journalists' claim that, according to the medical
centre in Capljina, nine persons were injured during SFOR's
breaking of a roadblock yesterday, Foley said that he had not
received any such reports.
