POPE JOHN PAUL II ARRIVES IN CROATIA

( Editorial: --> 5093 ) ZAGREB, Oct 2 (Hina) - Pope John Paul II arrived to the Republic of Croatia for his second pastoral visit. The Holy Father arrived on a special Alitalia plan which arrived at the Zagreb Airport at 17:36 hours. "You will be my witnesses" is the motto of the three-day state and pastoral visit by the Pope to Croatia. During his stay, Pope John Paul II will visit Zagreb, Marija Bistrica, Split and Solin. During the Eucharist Celebration at Marija Bistrica, Pope John Paul II will proclaim Zagreb Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac blessed. Th Holy Father visited Croatia four years ago.
