PRISTINA, Sept 30 (Hina) - At least 1472 Kosovo Albanians have been
killed in conflicts in Kosovo since February this year, Kosovo
Committee for the Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms announced
on Wednesday.
The Committee's latest report published in Pristina says that 162
women and 143 children were among the victims. A total of 373
victims have yet not been identified.
The same source saids that the number of wounded was much greater,
but it did not specify that number.
During a seven-month period 1,300 persons in the southern Yugoslav
province have been kidnapped or have disappeared. Most of them are
Albanians, and 45 of them are Serbian. In the same time period 1,700
Albanians were arrested.
More than 300,000 Kosovo Albanians left their homes, while 45,000
houses were demolished.
