PULA, Sept 9 (Hina) - Members of Austria's Maria Theresa Military
Academy on Wednesday visited the western Croatian coastal city of
Pula, as part of a programme of regular visits and closer
cooperation with neighbouring states.
The group of about a hundred Academy members was lead by its
commander, Lieutenant General Adolf Ervin Felber.
Istria County Deputy Prefect Valter Drandic and Pula Mayor
Giancarlo Zupic prepared a reception in which the Croatian Navy's
commander for the northern Adriatic military-maritime sector,
Battleship Captain Ivica Supic, handed over a commemorative poster
for cooperation with the Austrian armed forces.
Mayor Zupic told his Austrian guests that Pula had good relations
with Austria and its provinces, and had a sister city relationship
with Graz for more than 30 years.
Academy representatives laid wreaths in front of the central cross
at the maritime cemetery in Pula.
