MOSTAR, Sept 16 (Hina) - Bosnian Federation Refugee Minister Rasim
Kadic has warned that the current situation with Kosovo refugees,
currently located in Bosnia-Herzegovina could "loose control".
Speaking at a government session on Wednesday in Mostar, Kadic
stated that there were currently about 10,000 Kosovo refugees in
Bosnia.
According to Kadic international pressure on the Federation
government to resolve the issue of the Kosovo refugees was
increasing.
He warned that the Federal Refugee Ministry could not be concerned
only with this problem.
Deputy Premier and Finance Minister Drago Bilandzija also believes
that the issue regarding the Kosovo refugees in BH can no longer be
avoided.
The UNHCR's Mostar representative Tony Garcia said at a press
conference on Wednesday in Mostar that he considered this issue was
quite a burden to Bosnia as the country had only just recently
emerged from war.
Garcia asked the Bosnian government to cooperate with the UNHCR in
an effort to find temporary shelter for the Kosovo Albanian
refugees.
