SARAJEVO, Aug 31 (Hina) - US State Secretary Madeleine Albright met
the Croat member of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency, Kresimir
Zubak, followed by the Presidency's chairman, Alija Izetbegovic on
Monday morning.
As was announced previously, the focus of the talks will be the
implementation of the Dayton Agreements, the return of refugees and
upcoming elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Albright will hold a news conference with Zubak and Izetbegovic,
after which she will hold talks with women who will be running as
candidates in the September elections.
She will be leaving Bosnia-Herzegovina in the early afternoon
hours.
Upon arrival in Sarajevo on Sunday night, the US State Secretary met
Bosnian refugees living in Sarajevo's suburb of Stup and expressed
support to all those who want to return to their houses.
She criticised local authorities who are trying to hinder their
return, as well as "European allies" who are returning refugees to
places which lack security, housing conditions and work for the
returnees.
