ZAGREB, Sept 10 (Hina) - The Croatian war invalids' association
HVIDRA on Thursday expressed its resentment about the presentation
of pre-election video clips of Bosnian Serb parties on Croatian
Television (HTV).
"What HTV did is disgraceful, disgusting, humiliating and anti-
Croatian," said a statement from HVIDRA signed by president Marinko
Liovic.
The association believes HTV has no right to call itself Croatian
because it broacasted in its prime time programmes "Chetniks
(extreme Serb nationalists), the Yugoslav Cyrillic script and the
notorious four C's (Serb extremist symbols)".
By doing this, the Croatian national television broadcaster is
destroying everything that was created through the sweat and blood
of people who fought against the Greater Serbian symbols and
ideology.
HTV is not Croatian and names like TV Republika Srpska (the Bosnian
Serb entity), TV Yugoslavia, TV Council of Europe or TV Madeleine
Albright would be more suitable, HVIDRA said claiming US Secretary
of State Albright favoured the Serbs.
HTV is broadcasting election video clips of all Bosnian parties and
coalitions participating in the elections, to be held on September
12 and 13.
