6TH ALL CROATIAN INVALID SPORT COMPETITION TO BE HELD IN VUKOVAR

( Editorial: --> 7443 ) VUKOVAR, Sept 6 (Hina) - Members of the Organisation committee of the Sixth All Croatian Sporting Competition of Invalids of the Homeland War - SSNIDOR Vukovar '98 met in the eastern Croatian city earlier this week to discuss preparations for the event, to be held between October 15 and 17 this year. According to the president of the organisation committee and Veterans' Affairs Minister Juraj Njavro, in addition to the political significance, the Sixth SSNIDOR should be an inspiration for renewal and return to Vukovar. Some 560 competitors will be involved in nine disciplines, said HVIDRA (The Croatian War Invalids of the Homeland War) president Marinko Liovic. The implementing committee president Ivica Perkovic said that Vukovar being the host town for the competition was more than symbolical. During the meeting it was announced that a trial competition would be held in Vinkovci. The sponsor of the competition will be President Franjo Tudjman and as Njavro said the competition will be dedicated to the late defence minister, Gojko Susak. (Hina) sp jn /mbr 061129 MET sep 98
