LJUBLJANA, Sept 9 (Hina) - Zagreb's Koncar on Wednesday signed a
contract on the delivery of electrical equipment worth DM 10.9
million as part of the modernisation of two hydro-electric power
plants on the Soca, a river in western Slovenia.
The modernisation of the two plants, Plava and Dobler, is one of the
largest power projects in Slovenia this decade.
The contract was signed in Nova Gorica, a town in western Slovenia,
by Koncar's managing director Vjekoslav Srb. Also attending was
Croatia's Ambassador to Slovenia Ivica Mastruko.
Koncar was chosen, alongside Litostroj from Ljubljana, at an
international bid for tenders with 12 participating companies.
Koncar and Litostroj also agreed to undertake several major
projects of this kind abroad, including one in Bosnia-Herzegovina
and one in Iran.
