LJUBLJANA, Aug 26 (Hina) - The Slovene Ministry of Interior Affairs
on Wednesday confirmed that their employees on Monday morning came
across two Croatian policemen in a vehicle on Slovene territory.
According to Slovene radio, the Croatian policemen were seen some
200m from Jelsane-Rupa, a border crossing in northern Istria.
Slovene sources reported the two policemen stated they were not
aware they had crossed into Slovene territory.
The Slovene police notified the Slovene Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. According to the Slovene radio, the Croatian Interior
Ministry has already issued an apology for the incident.
