SYMPOSIUM "JOURNALISM & THE GLOBAL NETWORK" TO BE HELD SOON

( Editorial: --> 7820 ) ZAGREB, (Hina) Sept 3 - "Journalism and the Global Network" is the name of the tenth international communicology symposium which is to be held at the Inter-University Centre in Dubrovnik, between September 23 and 29. Participating in the symposium will be university professors, communicologists, media theorists and journalists from Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, the Croat-Muslim Federation of Bosnia- Herzegovina, the Ukraine, Germany and Great Britain. The symposium is divided into several themes: "Crisis and New Communication Worlds", "Television and the Global World", "The Globalisation and Cultural Philosophical Aspects of Communication", "The Global Communications Network", and "Public Relations in the Function of Globalisation". The topic of inter-disciplinary approaches to communication problems will also be attended to. Two round table discussions will also be held regarding "Ethics, the Media and New Communication Worlds" and "The Croatian Media and the Global Network". The symposium is being organised by the Croatian Association of Communicology, the Inter-University Centre and the International Federation of Communicological Associations.
