ATTACKS ON DRENICA DECANE AND DJAKOVICA CONTINUE

( Editorial: --> 1903 ) PRISTINA, Aug 5 (Hina) - Serbian forces on Wednesday started a violent attack on villages in Srbica Municipality in the Drenica area, the Kosovo Information Centre in Pristina reported. There is no information on the consequences of the latest attacks in that area. Kosovo Albanian sources reported the Kosovo Liberation Army was responding strongly. Serbian forces continued attacking the Djakovica and Decane areas as well, local Albanian sources reported, adding the attacks were very violent, especially in villages in Decane Municipality, where Serbian forces were using heavy weaponry. Albanian sources also reported that almost 10,000 people from Albanian villages in Klina Municipality, central Kosovo, were hiding in woods without food or water. Yesterday evening, Serbian police in Pristina apprehended the editor of Bujku, a Pristina daily paper in Albanian, and detained him for an hour.
