PULA, July 27 (Hina) - A total of 140,484 foreign guests and 12,380
domestic travellers entered Croatia last weekend through the three
border crossings in Istria County.
At the same time 120,563 foreign guests and 13,420 Croatian
residents left through the Plovanija, Kastel and Pozana posts,
Istria County police said.
First hand indicators show the number of foreign guests is 2 per
cent less than the previous week's figure, and was about the same as
last year's number.
There were no major traffic delays on border crossings and
motorists entered through four or, if needed, five lanes.
Istrian police on Monday said that during the weekend they had made
18 seizures of illegal drugs, confiscating 35 grams of marijuana
and 7.7g of hashish from Slovenian, Italian, Austrian, German and
Croatian citizens.
