PULA, July 19 (Hina) - About 130,000 foreign guests entered Croatia
during Friday and Saturday through the three road border crossings
in the Istria County, on the northern Adriatic.
Most of the tourists were from Austria, Germany, Italy and
Slovenia, the Istria Police Department in Pula told reporters on
Sunday.
On Saturday alone 65,000 foreign tourists and 10,000 domestic
travellers crossed Croatia's border with Slovenia at the
Plovanija, Kastel and Pozani crossings.
Despite this, police said entering traffic at those border posts
was flowing without much difficulty and delay, and waiting times
were not long.
The Istria Police Department today is awaiting an increase in
traffic on border crossings, while within the Croatian coastal
county itself, traffic is reported to be moving freely.
