SPLIT, July 23 (Hina) - Four Yugoslav Albanian women were caught on
Wednesday attempting to illegally enter Croatia from Bosnia-
Herzegovina at the Vinjani Gornji (southern Croatia) border
crossing, the county police said on Thursday.
A member of the Bosnian Interior Ministry, I. Lukenda (29), had
driven the women in his car from Tihaljini, Bosnia. At the same time
he had arranged to meet two men, M. Zymberi (38) and F. Berisha (36),
who had arrived from Split to take their relatives to the southern
Croatian city.
Border police returned the women to the crossing, while Lukenda,
Zymberi and Berisha will be brought before an investigative judge
at the Split County Court to face charges of attempting to smuggle
people across the state border.
