ZAGREB, July 23 (Hina) - A Croatian National Parliament delegation
on Thursday returned to Zagreb from a five-day visit to the Slovak
Republic, which was described by House of Representatives
President Vlatko Pavletic as very useful.
Talks with Slovak officials focused on bilateral relations between
the two countries and modes of their joint assistance to third
countries, Pavletic told the press.
Pavletic, who headed the delegation, said the two parties had
agreed to intensify inter-parliamentary talks and visits by
certain parliamentary committees.
During their 90-minute discussion, Slovak Prime Minister Vladimir
Meciar and Pavletic agreed that thanks to the complete absence of
differences between Slovakia and Croatia, nothing stood in the way
of intensifying relations outlined in a recent meeting between
Meciar and his Croatian counterpart Zlatko Matesa.
According to Pavletic, meetings with local Slovak authorities were
also very useful.
