BRATISLAVA, July 20 (Hina) - A Croatian parliamentary delegation
visiting Slovakia on Monday held talks with Slovak Premier Vladimir
Meciar.
The Croatian delegation was headed by parliament president Vlatko
Pavletic.
After the talks, Pavletic and Meciar assessed Croatia and Slovakia
enjoyed very good bilateral relations and that it was necessary to
continue promoting dialogue and cooperation, especially in
economy.
The Slovak Premier said his country supported Croatia in its
endeavours to enter European integration.
Croatia's current presiding over the Central European Initiative
is significant, Meciar said.
He reiterated his invitation to Croatian President Franjo Tudjman
to make an official visit to Slovakia.
Pavletic said Croatia had true friends at the Slovak government and
parliament.
Both countries have similar problems and can help one another in
accessing European integration through a joint approach, he said.
The Croatian delegation today also met with members of the Slovak
parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee and members of the
Croatian-Slovak Friendship Society.
