PRISTINA, July 17 (Hina) - A total of 214 Albanians, mainly women,
children and the elderly were killed during military, police and
paramilitary actions carried out by Serbian forces in Kosovo from
April to June, the Kosovo Human Rights and Freedoms Watch said in a
report on Friday.
Since conflicts in the south Yugoslav province began, almost 300
persons have been abducted or gone missing, with 198 cases
registered in the last three months.
The report said that almost 100,000 Kosovo Albanians have left
their homes on account of the clashes.
Serbian forces have blocked roads and prevented the population from
being supplied with basic food and medicine, the Watch said, and
warned that several thousands Albanians face famine and various
epidemics.
