VUKOVAR, June 17 (Hina) - Exhumation teams of the government's
commission for detained and missing persons Wednesday exhumed the
remains of 21 victims of the Serbian aggression at the New Cemetery
in Vukovar, eastern Croatia.
Among them were the remains of Blago Zadro, one of the commanders of
Vukovar's defence, who was identified by his family.
Homeland War Defenders Minister Juraj Njavro was in attendance.
According to the head of the government commission, Ivan Grujic,
the remains of 819 persons have been exhumed at the New Cemetery in
Vukovar since April 28.
The remains of 483 have been identified to date.
Among those exhumed are 113 persons from the list of detained and
missing persons.
Grujic said the exhumation at the New Cemetery will be terminated
July 1.
