SARAJEVO, June 4 (Hina) - Vice-President of the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina Vladimir Soljic held talks with the head of the
Organisation for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) Mission in Bosnia
Robert Barry on preparations for the September elections, Soljic's
office said in a statement.
The meeting stressed the need for consistent and principled respect
for confirmed election regulations as well as equal treatment of
all participants in the elections by the election organisers and
the entire international community.
Soljic and Barry also discussed problems in the functioning of
newly-established joint bodies of authority in certain
municipalities in the Federation, especially in the Herzegovina-
Neretva and Central Bosnia cantons. It was judged necessary that
these problems be solved as soon as possible with joint efforts by
the federal partners and representatives of the international
community.
