ZAGREB, May 21 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on
Thursday received the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in
Europe's (OSCE) Croatia mission head Tim Guldimann and his
associates.
A Croatian Foreign Ministry statement said Granic informed
Guldimann with further steps of the Croatian Government following
its passing of binding instructions for obtaining documentation
and procedures for the individual return of persons who had left
Croatia.
Granic emphasised that the situation in the Croatian Danube River
region was gradually improving, with a reduction in tension and
incidents.
The officials also discussed the open issue of the further
activities of the OSCE mission to Croatia and its cooperation with
the Croatian Government.
At the centre of the talks was the OSCE's taking over of monitoring
activities in the Croatian Danube region, following the final
withdrawal of UN police observers in mid-October this year, the
statement said.
