SARAJEVO, June 3 (Hina) - The Croat member of the Presidency of
Bosnia-Herzegovina Kresimir Zubak, received the German Ambassador
to BH Hennecke Graf von Bassewitz in Sarajevo on Wednesday.
They talked about the current political situation in BH, especially
the split in the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina
following the party's convention held mid-May in Mostar.
Zubak informed the German ambassador that there exists a "strong
will" for the foundation of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Croatian
Democratic Union "as a legitimate pursuer of the original policies
of HDZ (Croatian Democratic Union)", said a statement from Zubak's
office.
The statement points out that Zubak said the current situation
should not be interpreted as a conflict between the "Bosnian" and
"Herzegovinian" factions within HDZ.
The German ambassador said every pluralism was a sign of democratic
progress and maturing. He stressed that the international
community would support those who continue with the implementation
of policies congruent with the Dayton agreement.
