ZAGREB, May 29 (Hina) - The Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Friday condemned the Pakistani decision to conduct nuclear tests
and called on the country's government to stop all nuclear weapon
activities and stop the nuclear arms race.
The Ministry issued a statement in which it regrets the Pakistani
decision on nuclear tests and expresses concern "about the negative
consequences of this action in regards to the regional and global
stability, and the credibility of the overall nuclear non-
proliferation regime."
The Croatian Foreign Ministry appealed to the Pakistani
government, as it did to the Indian government recently, also in
relation to nuclear tests, to stop all nuclear weapon activities
and prevent the growing nuclear arms race in the region.
"We urge the Pakistani Government to join the vast majority of the
states in acceding to the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) and
to, thereby, work for the world free of nuclear threat", the
statement concluded.
