SARAJEVO, May 18 (Hina) - Canadian Premier Jean Chretien arrived on
a one day visit to Bosnia Herzegovina Monday, the first of its kind
since the Dayton Agreement.
Chretien told the reporters in Sarajevo he came to Bosnia to visit
Canadian troops who have been a part of the stabilisation forces in
the country.
Members of the Bosnia Herzegovina Presidency met with Chretien
discussing progress of the peace agreement.
"We in Canada have managed to form a society in which many different
people live together. My message to members of the Bosnia
Herzegovina Presidency is to do the same thing in this country",
said Chretien.
Chretien will also visit Canadian battalions deployed in Kljuc and
northwestern parts of Bosnia Herzegovina.
