in Bosnia-Herzegovina; Catholic, Muslim, Serb Orthodox and Jewish,
will visit the United States of America May 19-22.
They will hold talks with American state representatives, United

communities in the country.
Sarajevo Archbishop Cardinal Vinko Puljic, Reis-ul-Ulema of the
Islamic community in Bosnia, Mustafa Ceric, Sarajevo Metropolitan
Nikolja Mrda, and President of the Jewish community in Bosnia,
Jakob Finci, are travelling to the US at the invitation of the
American Awareness Foundation, with the mediation of the United
Nations mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Inter-religious
Council reported today from Sarajevo.
All religious Heads wish to inform to the American participants
about the hardships of refugees returning to Bosnia.
It was also reported that, regarding the situation in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, they will strongly insist on the necessity of the
continuation of the involvement of the international community in
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
"Aware that the safety of returnees depends upon creating an
atmosphere of reconciliation and trust, the religious Heads will
look for support of actions in this direction", the Inter-religious
