SARAJEVO/KIEV, May 12 (Hina) - Bosnia-Herzegovina this year
participated for the first time as a country-shareholder of the
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) at its
annual convention which took place in Kiev during the past two
days.
A Bosnian delegation headed by a Vice-Chairman of the Council of
Ministers, Neven Tomic, who is also Bosnia's governor in the EBRD,
on Tuesday presented the potential of the country and its two
entities for further financial cooperation with European states.
The Bosnian delegation held numerous bilateral meetings with
representatives of companies and countries which are interested in
investing in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The EBRD has to date invested more than DM150 million for the
reconstruction of infrastructure, said a statement issued today
from Tomic's office in Sarajevo.
Many direct investments in companies and banks in the form of
shareholders' capital or loan-granting have been registered as
well, the statement said.
The EBRD last year financed 108 projects in 26 countries with more
than ECU3.3 billion.
