CAPLJINA, Apr 26 (Hina) - The international community will not
tolerate attacks on its representatives and Serb returnees to
Drvar, deputy international High Representative for Bosnia Jacques
Klein said Saturday.
Klein spoke in Tasovcici, a village near Capljina, southern Bosnia,
where he visited a mass grave from which bodies of Bosniaks
(Muslims) killed in the Croat-Muslim conflict were exhumed.
Drvar is a town in western Bosnia where on Friday a group of several
hundred Bosnian Croats protested against the unequal treatment the
international community has adopted in relation to the return of
displaced Bosnian Croats.
The NATO-led Stabilisation Force is constantly present in Drvar and
around the town, said Klein. Our people have reopened offices there
and we have re-established control.
The international community will prevent threats to the lives of
its staff in Bosnia as well as attempts aimed at preventing the
international community from doing their work, Klein said. In this
the international community enjoys the support of 90 per cent of
Bosnia's population.
There must be some very sick people in Bosnia who cannot accept
progress and we shall put an end to that, Klein pointed out in answer
to a journalistic question about the constant incidents which have
been taking place in Bosnia since the return of displaced persons
began.
