DRVAR, Apr 19 (Hina) - The organisation of a multiethnic police in
Herzeg-Bosna Canton was the main topic of talks the President and
Vice-President of the Croat-Muslim Federation of Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Ejup Ganic and Vladimir Soljic, held with
representatives of the international community in Drvar, western
Bosnia, Sunday.
Following the murder of two Serbs in Drvar earlier this week, the
head of the United Nations mission in Bosnia, Elizabeth Rehn,
requested that 15 policemen of Serb nationality be employed in the
Drvar police department.
According to an officer of the International Police Task Force,
Mark Croker, the participants in today's talks agreed on the main
postulates of the structure of a multiethnic police and that it is
necessary to specify further details.
A multiethnic police could be established within a week or two,
Croker said.
